Taking Care and Aligning with Yourself?
We’re in a weird (really really weird) time and taking care of ourselves is more important than ever—yet it’s often the last thing on our very lengthy list of to-do’s.
We know you and your hand sanitizer are in a solid relationship… but how’s your wellness overall?
Stress has a negative effect on our health.
Shall we find and create some balance?
Let’s see how well you’re taking care of yourself.
T/F 1. When I’m upset and/or feeling hopeless, I talk it out with a friend, family member or therapist. And if I need help, I ask for it.
T/F 2. I let go of the way things “used to be” and strive to make the best of of this moment as it is.
T/F 3. I do something physical every day, even if it’s just a walk around the block or a 5-minute workout. (can we count liking an ice cream cone as doing something physical?)
T/F 4. I eat healthy (oops- not like an ice cream cone workout). I choose organic fruits, vegetables and whole foods and take the time to enjoy my meals. I set aside work, driving and other activities while I eat.
T/F 5. I think positively. I see problems as opportunities and obstacles as challenges.
T/F 6. I can say no when I need or want to and respect my decision. And, I don’t even have to make up a reason why I said “no”.
T/F 7. I take time to consciously breathe and be present.
T/F 8. If I’m experiencing physical symptoms, I go to the appropriate health care professional. I don’t panic about the symptoms, and I don’t deny them either.
T/F 9. I can accept myself for being “good enough”. (even though you’re really great) I don’t demand perfection in everything that I do.
T/F 10. I recognize the value of working in different gears. Some tasks require less effort. That saves energy for those times when I need to push myself.
T/F 11. I get enough sleep most nights.
T/F 12. I value my personal relationships and give them the time and energy they need and deserve.
T/F 13. I choose healthy ways to relieve stress, like exercising, meditating, journaling, being in nature and I don’t rely on crutches such as sugar, alcohol, over consumption.
T/F 14. I recognize the importance of breaks during the day, or time to unplug/ chill.
T/F 15. I listen to and respect my feelings. I’m tuned in to myself and my needs.
If you answered false to several of these, we invite you to take a look at your choices.
Grab a friend and make a commitment to YOUR wellness.
We need you at your best to stay strong, healthy and ready to make the impact on the world we know is possible.
